Directed by Dr. Christine Templeton-Parker, lecturer at The University of Derby, The Carer has already won five prestigious ‘Awards of Excellence’ in the Best Shorts Film Competition in Los Angeles. “It’s pertinent that like Jedidiah Strutt, the Hardcastles are entrepreneurs and pioneers of industry. In their case, it’s the world of interior design where their company Nash Interiors is increasingly gaining wide-eyed national attention for their striking smorgasbord of styles where both the classical and the contemporary mix and match, and colours are invariably bold and vibrant.

This makes William and Donna the ideal incumbents of a decaying house that was facing the prospect of its 41 rooms being gutted and split into modern apartments.”

Ingram's review

“When Donna and William decided to move their lush interior design store to a new location they didn’t exchange one store for another. That’s simply not their style.

Instead they found an icon of Derby’s architectural history
and set about making it their own.

After 35 years in Nottingham’s Hockley district, Nash has found a new home.” – See more at: Ingrams review of Nash at Home

Nash at BBC East Midlands Today

Our background is in furniture manufacture and re-upholstery, creating bespoke items and giving much loved pieces a new lease of life. Having operated in premises in Nottingham for over 30 years, we have now moved the business to a more personalised level here at our new home in Derby. We are lucky enough to be the guardians of a magnificent Georgian townhouse, which is a unique and ideal showcase for our work and for the wide range of desirable and unusual accessories and antiques we have collected over the years.

Few words from Derby Telegraph

”An interior design couple will soon be inviting clients to stay in their beautiful city centre mansion which doubles as an impressive showroom.

Its hard-working owners have been revamping the 41-room Friar Gate House for four years and live on the top floor with their teenage boys and young daughter.

William and Donna Hardcastle of Nash at Home are almost finished bringing together a massive range of designers, styles and colours to create one of the most stunning properties in Derby.”
