The Carer film scenes shot at Nash
We are thrilled to share news that The Carer, a film which made as part of our Shine A Light Project has been accepted for BAFTA consideration.
Directed by Dr. Christine Templeton-Parker, lecturer at The University of Derby, The Carer has already won five prestigious ‘Awards of Excellence’ in the Best Shorts Film Competition in Los Angeles. The film was also in official selection at the Oscar qualifying Palm Springs International Short Film Festival in June 2016.
Nash At Home - Film & Photography Location
Nash At Home is a magnificent Georgian townhouse, situated in Derby. With an array of feature rooms and a wide range of desirable and unusual accessories and antiques, this beautiful property is an ideal location for film and photography shoots.
“When Donna and William decided to move their lush interior design store to a new location they didn’t exchange one store for another. That’s simply not their style.
Instead they found an icon of Derby’s architectural history
and set about making it their own.
After 35 years in Nottingham’s Hockley district, Nash has found a new home.” – See more at: Ingrams review of Nash at Home
Few words from Simon Foote Architects
“Nash At Home have created a unique opportunity within their business for other homeowners to gain inspiration for their own projects through William and Donna’s flair and attention to detail. They provide a range of services, from full Interior and Design Consultancy, designing and making bespoke pieces of furniture through to acquiring beautiful pieces of art from all over the world that you will find on show in their amazing home.”
Nash at BBC East Midlands Today
Our background is in furniture manufacture and re-upholstery, creating bespoke items and giving much loved pieces a new lease of life. Having operated in premises in Nottingham for over 30 years, we have now moved the business to a more personalised level here at our new home in Derby. We are lucky enough to be the guardians of a magnificent Georgian townhouse, which is a unique and ideal showcase for our work and for the wide range of desirable and unusual accessories and antiques we have collected over the years.
”An interior design couple will soon be inviting clients to stay in their beautiful city centre mansion which doubles as an impressive showroom.
Its hard-working owners have been revamping the 41-room Friar Gate House for four years and live on the top floor with their teenage boys and young daughter.
William and Donna Hardcastle of Nash at Home are almost finished bringing together a massive range of designers, styles and colours to create one of the most stunning properties in Derby.”
